WAITING GAME FOR VAN DEN BERGH Dallas winger on outside looking in EDITOR’S NOTE: Michael Lewis knows full well the value a player such as Dave van den Bergh brings to a team. FCD OPENS MLS SEASON AT PHP Dallas hosts Dynamo in opener
FRISCO, TX – The FC Dallas 30-game MLS schedule was released today, along with the rest of the league schedule. The Red Stripes get a running start with the first two league games at home but those games came against traditionally rugged opposition. It starts against the fierce Western Division rivals Houston Dynamo, March 27, in a 3 p.m. Saturday matinee and continues two weeks later when FCD hosts the Columbus Crew, 2008 MLS champs, in a 7:30 p.m. game at Pizza Hut Park.
FCD GETS MONEY FOR ROMERO Chivas USA signs FCD discovery player
FC Dallas today announced it acquired allocation money from Chivas USA in exchange for the rights to El Salvadoran midfielder Osael Romero. FC Dallas held Romero’s rights because it had previously filed a discovery claim on the player in 2009. Complete story
