RALLY GOALS EARN ALLIANCE TIE
In WPSL Consolation showdown
RICHARDSON, TX---FC Milwaukee and Oklahoma Alliance each brought fast-paced attacks in trying to spring an upset against their semifinal opponents Saturday at the WPSL Final Four. Both teams fell to more experienced, playoff-savvy teams in the Boston Aztec and Ajax America, respectively. Lining up the very next day in another triple-digit endurance test at the University of Texas/Dallas soccer stadium, the Oklahoma team was clearly not ready to go foot-to-foot with the like-minded Nationals, which went up 2-0 on an early marker in each half.

AZTEC WINS NATIONAL TITLE
Rallies past Ajax 2-1 for WPSL championship
RICHARDSON, TX---Time was still on the side of the Boston Aztec Breakers Reserves (12-1-1), when it scored the dramatic winning goal Sunday in the 83rd minute of the 2010 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) National Championship at the UT/Dallas Soccer Stadium. After all, this was the team that won two of its playoff games in the 119th minute, but found out this weekend it wasn’t a requirement to play to the last minute of double overtime to claim a victory.

OK. ALLIANCE SEEKING RESPECT
Team has hometown feel for NTX fans
While Dallas Premier FC was winning the Big Sky South Conference last season, the Oklahoma Alliance and its coach Jimmy Hampton considered that result an anomaly. The Alliance roared through the Conference play this season with a 7-1-0 record, well out of reach of its competitors. Now the Oklahoma City-based squad is on hand in Dallas to make a run at the WPSL title as the South representative in the 2010 WPSL Final Four.

L.A. brings strong legacy to WPSL Final Four
Every team that has fought its way to the WPSL Final Four semifinals has a unique story. Every one of the teams has earned enough battle scars along the way to feel confident, no matter how uncertain the coach and players viewed the 2010 season at its beginning. But make no mistake, the Los Angeles Ajax America has the requisite legacy in the WPSL, skins on the wall and rich history since the league began to earn the respect of every team that will sweat its way through this weekend.
