SMU men's program signs 10

DALLAS -- SMU Mustangs men’s coach Kevin Hudson this week announced the addition of 10 players for student- his second season at the helm.

Midfielder-forward Jacob Cohen, forwards Brandon Guhl and Garrett McLaughlin, goalkeepers Patrick Michael Hillyard and Grant Makela, defenders Edwin “Eddie” Munjoma and Philip Ponder, and midfielders Boston Gilbert, Dwight “DJ” Williams and Toshiki “Tosh” Yasuda, will join a Mustang squad that finished the 2015 season with a 15-3-4 record, an American Athletic Conference regular season title and an NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen appearance.

“We are thrilled to welcome this special group of student-athletes to the SMU soccer family,” Hudson said. “I want to first thank SMU assistant coaches Dustin Norman and Alex Aldaz for their tireless efforts in helping to put this class together. We believe that this is an elite group of players who will immediately make us better. We expect significant contributions from these freshmen this fall.”
