Texas Tech senior forward Janine Beckie is one of three nominees for the Dallas Soccer News women’s college player of the year and a contender for the Soccer News Net Women’s College Boot, recognizing the national player of the year.

Beckie, from Highlands Ranch, Colo., is the most decorated player in Red Raiders history, a four-time All-Big 12 first-team selection and two-time conference offensive player of the year with three All-America citations and four All-Central Region honors. She was a second-team All-American this year after scoring 14 goals -- six of them game-winners -- with three assists as Texas Tech captured the Big 12 tournament title and reached the second round of the NCAA Division I tournament. Beckie, a Canadian national-teamer who represented Canada at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup after previously playing for U.S. youth national teams, scored a Texas Tech-record 57 goals (22 game-winners) with 16 assists in 90 career collegiate matches.

Fan voting accounts for 40 percent toward selection of the Soccer News Net College Boot, and the winner of the popular voting receives the Soccer News Net Supporters’ Choice award. Voting for the College Boot is open through Dec. 16.
