Pounds, from Spring, Texas, was the Aggies' top scorer, with 13 goals -- five of them game-winners -- and five assists en route to an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA Division I women's tournament. A second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, she started all 26 games after just three starts as a freshman, surpassed her freshman point total (four, on one goal, two assists) during the season's first weekend (with a goal and four assists) to win SEC Offensive Player of the Week and Dallas Soccer News Player of the Week honors, then netted a hat trick in a September win over Abilene Christian. She netted two goals against Ole Miss in October, and assisted the first goal and scored the decisive second goal in TAMU's NCAA tournament-opening victory over Washington.
Fan voting accounts for 40 percent toward selection of the Soccer News Net College Boot, and the winner of the popular voting receives the Soccer News Net Supporters’ Choice award. Voting for the College Boot is open through Dec. 16.
